I have an exciting new client – a wholesale company in a fast growing sector of the retail market who are well established and continue to grow year on year.
To ensure their growth they need a hands on FMCG Manager who has good experience of working with the convenience store sector and is equally at home with the major players such the large supermarkets.
You will work closely with Senior Stakeholders, to develop, lead and support all bid & tender processes to identify and develop sales opportunities across the group, and achieve maximum profitability for every opportunity.
So Who Will You Be?
You will have strong knowledge of the FMCG industry – market trends and consumer behaviour
A really good working knowledge of the Convenience sector
Strong negotiation and communication skills with a proven track record in successful bid/tendering processes
Results focused with proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth
An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market research
Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics
Able to multitask, prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
You can be degree educated or qualified by experience but FMCG Sales will be your specialist subject
Your Remit Will Be:
Hold full ownership of the tender process, including exploring tender opportunities, preparing, completing and submitting all documentation ahead of deadlines.
Follow up on all tender and bid processes with a view to monitoring feedback, making recommendations for change to ensure my client wins and grows business from successful bids.
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share.
Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand the customer base.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and retailers.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to identify areas for growth and product improvement, making recommendations for change.
Analyse sales data and generate reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
Conduct regular product evaluations and make recommendations for improvements or new product introductions.
Collaborate with NPD and operations teams to ensure timely and efficient product development and production.
Conduct market research and consumer surveys to identify consumer needs and preferences.
Support the Supply Chain to ensure a seamless end to end transaction for all our clients.
Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying areas for cost reduction or revenue enhancement.
Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and recommending actions.
