We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sales Account Manager with excellent experience in both gaining new business and maintaining client relationships for a Market Leading, Family-Run; Fabrication, Finishing and Assembly Company based in Leicester Forest East.
Reporting to the Business Support Director and under the direction of the Sales & Marketing Director the Sales Account Manager will drive profitable company growth, focusing on developing new accounts and managing current client accounts.
As a Sales Account Manager you will be Responsible for:
Building new business relationships in alignment with the sales strategy, securing new clients and achieving targets.
Developing account sales plans, including reports for the senior management, in order to meet annual forecasts.
Working with the marketing team to facilitate lead generation and sales presentations.
Working with estimation team to input to quotation creations, negotiations, and deal closures.
Planning and executing account strategies to target new accounts using our CRM system.
Managing a list of assigned customers, fostering long-term relationships
Understanding client needs and propose tailored solutions.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer profiles
Conducting regular client visits/meetings to discuss requirements, build trust, and secure repeat business.
Converting leads into sales orders
Closing sales deals whilst ensure client satisfaction throughout the sales process.
Generating weekly and monthly reports, analysing performance against KPIs and identifying areas for improvement
Tracking sales trends within the industry to assist in building future strategies and sales techniques
Skills and Experience of a Sales Account Manager you skills:
Proven ability to independently find and pursue new client leads in a B2B environment, ideally within the metalwork/mechanical engineering sector (minimum 4 years' experience).
Strong understanding and application of the sales process for both new account development and client management.
Experience in Construction, Engineering, or Transport (Rail/Automotive) - desirable
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills to build trust and rapport with clients across all levels.
Negotiation focused on profitability and controlling proposals/tenders.
Experience working with both medium and large client businesses including quality procedures.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Clear and concise communication skills
Preferred: Technical understanding of Mechanical Engineering (Laser Cutting, Fabrication, Finishing).
Strong IT skills – ideally with experience of using Hubspot.
