Job Description:
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to join the dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of high-profile construction projects, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and timeline standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of construction projects, from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and budgetary constraints.
* Lead and coordinate project teams, including subcontractors, suppliers, and internal staff, to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
* Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols on-site, maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel and stakeholders.
* Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
* Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to address project requirements, resolve conflicts, and maintain positive relationships.
* Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and cost control measures to optimise project profitability and efficiency.
* Prepare and present regular progress reports, updates, and presentations to senior management and clients, ensuring transparency and effective communication.
* Mentor and develop junior staff members, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
* Proven track record of successful project management on high-profile construction projects, preferably within the prime residential, commercial, or private education sectors.
* Extensive experience in construction management
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and best practices, with a focus on quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve excellence.
* Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar.
* Valid CSCS card and relevant industry certifications (e.g., SMSTS, First Aid at Work).
