Your new companynA well respected charity with amazing charitable aims, based in North Surrey offers hybrid working (3 days a week in the office and 2 from home) to an experienced Enterprise Risk Manager and Financial Controls Assurance specialist.
Your new rolenIn this position you will be implementing and managing an effective Risk Management framework for the organisation and increasing Financial Controls Assurance for them.nYou will be working with the leadership team in a high-profile capacity, and communicating Risk and Assurance plans, policies and procedures across the organisation.nYou will undertake deep-dive assessments on financial controls, to provide assurance in this area.nYou will attend the Audit & Risk Committee and other board committees to present on risk and assurance.nYou will monitor and report on the implementation of agreed management actions designed to strengthen risk mitigation strategies / close compliance gaps and provide assurance on these to the leadership team and trustees.nFor a full run down of this broad-ranging opportunity, contact me for more information.
What you'll need to succeednYou will ideally have a financial background and may be a qualified Accountant or Internal Auditor with financial controls experience. (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, IIA, CIA)nYou will have wide-ranging Enterprise Risk experience gained ideally, working in a charity or Public Sector organisation.nYou will have excellent communication skills and be able to translate complex ideas to a wide range of colleagues at all levels of the organisation.nYou will have project management skills and a good understanding of business continuity planning within an organisation.
