Job Description:
As the Senior Business Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of financial, human, and physical resources across both schools. Your key duties will include:
Developing and implementing strategic financial plans to support the schools' objectives
Managing budgets, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
Overseeing procurement processes and ensuring value for money
Leading and developing the administrative and support staff teams
Managing payroll, pensions, and staff contracts
Ensuring the schools' premises are well-maintained and meet health and safety standards
Handling contracts and negotiations with external service providers
Overseeing the management of school facilities, including catering, cleaning, and maintenance services
Providing strategic advice to the Headteachers and governing bodies
Implementing policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency
Leading on school projects and initiatives to enhance the learning environment
Developing and implementing comprehensive health and safety policies
Conducting regular health and safety audits and risk assessments
Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation
Coordinating emergency procedures and drills
Managing health and safety training for staff and students
Overseeing accident and incident reporting and investigationsAbout the Schools:

Qualifications and Experience:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
Extensive experience as a School Business Manager or in a senior administrative role within an educational setting
Strong financial acumen and experience managing substantial budgets
Excellent organisational and leadership skills
Proficiency in financial management software and MS Office
Knowledge of HR practices, payroll, and pension schemes
Strong project management skills
Ability to work effectively across multiple sites
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
A relevant degree or professional qualification in business management, finance, or a related field
Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations
Experience in conducting risk assessments and health and safety audits
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlinesHow to Apply:
