As the Registered Manager of this new children’s home your role would entail:
* Registering with OFSTED and ensuring the home follow and adhere to the policies and regulations.
* Recruiting and training the team of staff that will be working at the home.
* Joining the client’s team before the service is open to aid in ensuring the home environment is to the highest standards.
* Delivering childcare that is focuses on getting the best outcomes for each young person within the home.
* You will have to demonstrate practical leadership in childcare, as well as organise and support staff.
Requirements:
* Recent experience working either as a Children's Home Registered Manager or as a Children's Home Deputy Manager in a Children's Home.
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management of Residential Childcare.
* Proven track record working with children in a residential setting.
* Minimum 2 years’ experience of managing a staff team within a residential setting.
* A good understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding and working with other health care professionals.
* Must have received at least a Good OFSTED inspection rating within the last 2 years.
* Great Communicator.
* Full driving license with access to a vehicle.
* Enhanced DBS.
