Product Manager
Fresh People are currently looking to recruit a Product Manager with Technical account management experience for our client in Fresh Produce based in Dartford. In this role you will be responsible for managing stakeholder engagement, customer quality performance , implementing quality management processes working collaboratively with the teams in the business whilst ensuring product safety, quality, integrity and legality throughout the facility.
The Person
This role would be suited to a candidate with 5 years’ experience working within a Fresh Produce Quality function with a deep understanding of product management , customer management , testing and analysis , and stakeholder management. Highly proficient in Microsoft office Excel ideally with an understanding of Microsoft D365 with ERP implementation skills .This position would require a combination of technical expertise and quality knowledge , hands on , working independently , with proven ability to be results focused , metric driven with the ability to translate priorities and actions into measurable results
Role Requirements
* Work closely with Technical Manager, Quality team, and Production team to understand customer quality performance
* Capture quality performance at grower level, identify trends and develop improvement ideas
* Support with microbiological and pesticide residue testing regimes to ensure safe and legal product throughout the process and adhere to customer requirements.
* Support customer, grower and all other third-party visits as required.
* Maximise product returns and deliver strategic quality improvement plans.
* Work closely with the Production team to implement production quality management processes and packhouse grading equipment efficiencies.
* Work closely with Supply Chain, Sales and Sourcing to understand stake holder requirements, maxmising stock
* Manage the shelf life and benchmarking processes, analyse the data and report/action accordingly.
* Manage decisions on quality to ensure product returns are maximised through appropriate stock rotation, usage and waste management.
* Manage quality functions in Production and dispatch.
* Supervise and mentor the QRC team, ensuring daily resource is utilised effectively and all required activity is understood and complete.
* Manage and execute training plans for the QRC and Production teams to ensure all functions are trained effectively.
* Ensuring that for their area risk assessments, regular inspections and audits are carried out.
* Maintaining health and safety standards across the site
* Ensuring that the operations under their control are, as far as is reasonably practicable, conducted without detriment to the health and safety of employees or others who may be affected by their activities.
* Ensuring that the Safety Management System is effectively implemented within their areas of responsibility.
