FEMALE Support worker required
NeuroSupport services are currently recruiting Support Workers and Healthcare Assistants with a background of Brain Injury and Mental health experience to support services users with an acquired Brain Injury. Our service aims to support rehabilitation and in enabling people to optimise independence and quality of life.
We are looking for psychology graduates,support Workers and Healthcare Assistants or suitable candidates who would be willing to support people both within their home environment and also willing to provide support in helping service users access the community. We are looking for candidates that are confident with working independently and providing empirical feedback where necessary.

Job Title: Female Support Worker
Location: TF10 8PX
Hourly Rate: £12.00-£14.00 per hour depending on experience.
Driver Essential? Yes
Preferences:This role is open to *Female* applicants. MUST speak clear English due to the clients disability and MUST have brain psychology experience.
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours:
Wednesday: 9AM-2PM
Thursday: 9AM-2PM
Friday: 9AM-2PM
Start times and finish times are flexble between 9am/10am-2pm/3pm
Ad hoc additional shifts available to help out when other team members are on holiday or unavailable.
About you-Essential Experience:
Support Worker / Therapy Assistant with experience of enduring health conditions, Acquired Brain Injury, seizure monitoring and support when having seizures, psychology training or experience of mental health issues and assistance required to assist the client to manage feelings of anxiety/ being overwhelmed and ongoing health issues and concerns.
Required activities:
Our client is looking for a support worker who can help her with general day to day support, someone who is conscientious, friendly, approachable,MUST be a driver & able to support with day to day practical taskssuch as shopping, meal planning and supporting her with food prep, medication, health needs, seizure monitoring & support, ability to follow support strategies with her, attending appointments, diary planning and organising, community access and working with therapists and fulfilling goals -doing physio exercises, general exercise, gym attendance, swimming, yoga, paddle boarding, cycling, spa days, shopping, attending college, floristry, gardening, arts and crafts.
Due to the complex presentation and needs of the client the ideal candidate would be a FEMALE support assistant who has a sound knowledge and experience of working with people with enduring medical conditions , mental health issues, brain injury, worries and perseverative conversational topics, behaviours, and cognitive support requirements. Someone who can follow the direction of the MDT whilst able to be friendly and personable whilst maintaining working relations and boundaries would be an asset to the team.
A female candidate ideally with a psychology background, who MUST drive, is confident to go to new locations and activities.
