Rehab Officer - Visually Impaired
We are collaborating with a Local Authority in Stoke who are seeking a Rehab Officer to join their Sensory Team for a 3 month initial contract. You'll assess the mobility/communication/daily living activity needs of people with a visual impairment.
Stoke on Trent
£33p/h Umbrella
Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
3 month initial contract with the view of extension
Key responsibilities:
Holistically assess the needs of individuals (both adults and children) with visual impairments, included deaf blind individuals.
Provide a comprehensive rehabilitation service comprising daily living skills, communication skills and mobility skills, plus technical services which will facilitate development towards independence.
Provide colleagues and the community with information concerning the diverse needs of people with visual impairments.Requirements:
Recognised rehab mobility qualification ie Diploma in Rehabilitation/ Mobility.
An understanding of the assessment role and ability to identify and implement an individual plan to facilitate service user independence.
