Audit and Accounts Manager - Main Responsibilities:nReporting to Audit Partner.nFull time role 75% audit related with balance being accounts preparation.nThe role will involve dealing with the day to day management and “doing” of the audit.nMeetings with clients and planning the audits.nManagement of the audit staff and mentoring of the team.nSupport with Grant sign off’s (Automotive Grant funded Projects).nNot all audits are remote so some travel to clients will be in order.nThe firm has around 20 audits, some of the details are below:nSubsidiaries of US companies - £30m+ is the UK turnover increasing to £50m over the next 5 years.nStand alone audits in the Paint and Consumables - £20m turnovernVegan Frozen food companynSoftware company - £5m turnovernPlumbers for new builds - £18m turnovernUK Group, automotive accessories - £20m turnovernRecycling company - £8m turnover with Gross assets and employees over the threshold
Other aspects to the rolenManaging the requirements of owner managed businesses including limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.nA role which will combine management but also for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and doing the work rather than simply reviewing the work of junior staff.nMaintaining strong business relationships with existing clients and assisting with the development of new business.
Audit and Accounts Manager - Candidate requirementsnA Public Practice background and either ACA or ACCA qualifiednStrong audit experiencenBasic tax computation abilitynKnowledge of various accounting software including Mercia for audit would be useful but can be learned.
The initial starting package will depend on current level of experience and ability which is reflected in the advertised salary range.
