Head of Loan Security Documentation

Due to exciting growth and expanding business needs, a brilliant opportunity has arisen to join a leading International banking group in the heart of London as they seek a Head of Loan Documentation and Securities to lead their department. You will be responsible for the oversight of all loan documentation and securities, ensuring all lending adheres to compliance and regulatory requirements, and the bank’s internal credit approval conditions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities of the Head of Loan Documentation and Securities:nCustomer:nManage lending documentation for contracts and post-contract needs.nCultivate professional relationships with borrowers, agents, and third parties to address relevant inquiries.nProcess:nEstablish and implement lending documentation, security management, and banking system administration procedures.nPeople:nOversee staff handling loan documentation and banking system administration.nCollaborate with business development and risk management to align loan documentation with credit approval conditions and client terms.nCoordinate with external parties for finance document preparation and negotiation.nEnsure clear communication of loan documentation processes to stakeholders.nProvide backup support for loan documentation and security staff.nDefine departmental and individual goals, setting benchmarks for measurable processes.nCompliance & Risk Management:nAdhere to regulations, standards, and codes while maintaining integrity.nImplement risk control guidelines to identify, assess, report, mitigate, and monitor risks.nAlign firm strategies and policies with Consumer Duty and Treat Customers Fairly obligations.nParticipate in the Executive Committee as outlined in the Terms of Reference.
Requirements for the successful Head of Loan Documentation and Securities:nEducated to Bachelor undergraduate degree level or highernPrevious banking experience

ideally gained within retail bankingnPrevious experience managing a team, with strong people management skillsnAt least 10 years experience in the legal field, or experience drafting and negotiating lending documentationnStrong experience on LMA documentation and commercial lending, and familiarity with LMA primary and secondary documentation is
