Responsibilities:
nClosing of LMA Par and New Issue loan trades.nReview underlying credit agreements to determine the correct form of assignment of the debt and to ensure that all transfer criteria can be met.nSettle trades via ClearPar or on paper documents, where required.nIn the case of trades to be settled on paper documents, prepare draft trade confirmations, transfer documents and pricing letters (amongst others).nManage the loan trade lifecycle post trade execution and coordinate trade settlements in the Syndicated and Secondary Loan Market.nTroubleshoot, escalate, and solve problems that arise from trade discrepancies.nMaintain, track, and prioritize all unsettled loan trades.nFacilitate amendments, non-pro-rata paydowns, and Credit events.nLiaise with front office, legal counsel, tax departments and back office to ensure timely settlements.nCo-ordinate and resolve any post trade settlement issues and cash queries with back office and trading counterparties.nCollaborate with teammates to streamline processes and create efficiencies.nExperience in trade operations processes and servicing bank loans.nEnsuring timely delivery of internal and external reports.nLiaise with front office, when required, to facilitate pre-trade arrangements.
Role Description:
nWork with global teams to accomplish client and organizational goals.nCoordination of trade settlements in the Syndicated and Secondary loan market, through relationships with counterparties and the front and back office.nMaintain and action a large portfolio of trades in a multitude of deal names and facilities.nA proactive and dynamic approach is required towards settling trades and keeping balance sheet exposure low.nAbility to analyze complex issues and apply analytical/logical thinking.nPerform reporting and data mining when required.nAssist and participate in the process of new client pursuits through in person and virtual presentations and supporting the sales process in helping solution to prospective client requirements.
Requirements:
n4+ years of overall Loan Closing experience in the LMA Loan Market.nGraduate any stream (Commerce/Accounting/Economic graduates may have an added advantage).nThorough understanding of the Loan Market Association's Standard Terms and Conditions.nGood understanding of LSTA Standard Terms.nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal.nHighly motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast paced, hands-on environment.nStrong experience in client counterparty management.nExceptional attention to detail and proficient documentation skills.nHigh proficiency in ClearPar and LoanIQ.nHigh level of computer proficiency and MS Office suite of applications.nUnderstanding of Loan and Credit related products.nAttention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Work Conditions:
nUK operating hours Monday through Friday.nAdhere to UnitedLex and Client confidentiality and information security policies.
nWork location:
This position will primarily be Work from Office (WFO) given the nature of business and the client driven security policies and requirements.
Work hours would be generally 8am to 5pm with weekends off and UK holidays.nBe willing to travel internationally or visit client offices in London if required for business purposes.
