Application Support Engineer

Location: Bristol (Hybrid)

Salary: £40k - £49k (Depending on experience)


Our client, a UK leader in Strategy & Innovation is looking for a Support Engineer to join their innovative team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a global consultancy that’s transforming how businesses operate.


The Role:

As a Support Engineer , you’ll be responsible for diagnosing and fixing issues, implementing features, and continuously improving client applications. You’ll work alongside L1, L2, and L3 support teams in fast-paced environments, ensuring that systems are optimized, stable, and efficient. You’ll also have the chance to drive automation and process improvements to deliver exceptional service to clients.


What You’ll Bring:

  • Strong expertise in Java (Java 8+), including MVC, JDBC, RESTful .
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana & Kibana .
  • Ability to troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and deliver timely fixes.
  • Experience with SQL , Unix , PowerShell , Shell Scripting , HTML/CSS .
  • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, MySQL, Postgres, Cassandra).
  • Experience transitioning services from development to live operational support.
  • Passion for automating processes and driving efficiency.
