The Company
STORM Therapeutics is a clinical stage biotechnology company working at the forefront of an emerging field of biology, creating novel therapies that inhibit RNA modifying enzymes for use in oncology and other diseases with high unmet medical need. The role is likely to be varied but key responsibilities will include:
Competently design and execute a range of optimised in vitro cell-based studies to support high-throughput screening, orthogonal screening, and mechanism of action studies.
Work with Contract Research Organisations (CROs) and partners to ensure successful assay transfer to their labs and support ongoing external screening activities as required.
Analyse and share critical interpretation of experimental results, including troubleshooting and next step proposals.
Present results in project team meetings and contribute to internal literature review meetings.
Maintain an electronic lab note-book and records of experiments and assist in the preparation of standard operating procedures and risk assessments.
To be considered for the position you should have the following:
BSc or equivalent in a relevant Biological Science discipline.
Around 1-2 years laboratory experience, preferably within an industrial setting.
Demonstrated understanding and experience of cell culture/aseptic technique and a range of biochemical, biophysical and/or cellular assay techniques (Examples could include Western Blots, genetic knockdown by siRNA or CRISPR, compound profiling, immunofluorescence imaging assays or qRT-PCR)
Competent in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience of using relevant data handling/ELN software is desirable (eg Dotmatics, GraphPad Prism)
Passionate and self-motivated with a keen interest in novel technologies and a pro-active approach to troubleshooting.
STORM offers an industry-competitive salary and benefits package, exciting science, and a great place to work.
