Who we are looking for
A Senior Accountant, who will play a pivotal role in leveraging financial data to drive strategic Business decisions and optimise financial performance.
You will be an integral part of the Business planning, analysis and decision support team, who are at the forefront of the change in new markets and other areas of the Business.
The analysis team will lead on designing and establishing a new forecasting process, following the roll out of a new system across the Finance department. You will work closely with stakeholders across the Business to provide insightful analysis and recommendations, enabling growth in relevant territories and driving efficiencies in the cost base.
This role provides the opportunity to work on some exciting projects and is key to supporting Business decision making, through robust reporting and modelling.
This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.
Preferred skills and experience
- ACCA or CIMA qualified with a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or relevant commercial experience.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, modelling, and interpreting large datasets.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and financial modelling.
- Familiarity with financial systems and data visualisation tools.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Self-driven with a proactive approach to tasks.
Main Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining financial models and analysing performance metrics and trends.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand Business requirements, providing financial insights.
- Conducting various analysis and identifying areas for process improvement.
- Creating and delivering reports and presentations to communicate financial findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Assisting in the production of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Supporting the implementation of improved forecasting, budgeting outputs and processes.
- Participating in strategic projects by providing financial expertise and analysis.
- Responding to other analysis requests from various departments to support decision making.
- Forecasting for corporation tax payment requirements and US Business plans to establish viability of going live in new markets.
