Your New Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and organised HR Advisor to join a small, fast-paced construction business based in Blackpool (40 staff). This is a stand-alone position, reporting directly to the Operations Manager, where you'll operate in a generalist capacity, across HR and compliance. With a strong focus on recruitment & onboarding, training and accreditation management, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys variety in their day-to-day responsibilities. Your Responsibilities In this multifaceted role, you'll be responsible for: Leading recruitment and onboarding processes for permanent staff and subcontractors. Managing inductions and training coordination. Overseeing fleet administration and compliance with construction accreditations (e.g., SafeContractor, Constructionline). Supporting absence and performance management. Organising wellbeing initiatives, employee events, and team-building activities. Maintaining HR policies and procedures relevant to the construction industry. Handling ER cases (low volume) and providing generalist HR support. Ensuring compliance with CIS schemes and construction-related legislation. What You'll Need to Succeed To be successful in this role, you'll need: Proven experience in a stand-alone HR role, ideally within the construction industry. Strong understanding of compliance and accreditation processes. Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. Confidence in managing recruitment, onboarding, and training. Ability to work independently and flexibly in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of current employment law and HR best practice.
