About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Child Support Worker to join our dedicated team on a temporary basis, with the potential to move into a permanent position. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and families, with a strong understanding of the UK child welfare system.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide direct support and intervention to children and families, ensuring their needs are met in line with best practice and legal requirements.
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and carers, offering guidance and emotional support.
* Work closely with social workers, educators, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to child welfare.
* Conduct assessments and create tailored care plans to address the specific needs of each child.
* Monitor the progress of care plans, adjusting them as needed to achieve the best outcomes.
* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions.
Essential Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Child Support Worker or in a similar role within the UK.
* In-depth knowledge of child protection and safeguarding legislation.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to helping children.
