We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer who enjoys Global travel and working on cutting edge systems to join our Europe team based in Hull, UK. About the Role

Daifuku Oceania is the leader in various new technologies within the airport baggage handling, material handling, intra-logistics, digital and software environments.

As a Systems Engineer will be comfortable to be customer facing with strong MS SQL Server and Database configuration and administration experience, you will become part of our New Zealand, Malaysia and Australia based IT Solutions team responsible to design, setup and execute our customer's engineered IT Infrastructure and Software Solutions.

This position offers you the opportunity to travel to various European project sites to meet the requirements of the projects.


Based in our Hull Daifuku office, your responsibilities will include:

  • Design, create, configure, install and site test IT infrastructure:
  • Network
  • Servers / Virtualisation platform
  • OS / AD administration
  • SQL Database
  • Applications

Review customer requirements, gap analysis, design engineering plans write and execute integration test plans, factory and site acceptance test plans, write user manuals and training materials.


Create the network design and IT virtualisation architecture and IT/ Network solution for the projects.


Skills & Experience

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will have a strong track record on high availability systems, building virtual machines.


Your qualifications and experience will include:

  • Computer Science Degree or experience to demonstrate the skills.
  • Proven experience producing network design for various sites, IT virtualisation architecture and VLAN and IP address design.
  • Experience with hands MS SQL Servers, Build Windows Server, database configuration and administration.
  • Intermediate experience as a team lead or similar experience in charge of IT department supporting 50+ users in an administrator type role or a field engineer role.
  • CCNA / VMware experience or certification.
  • Keen to travel to projects sites local and internationally.
