Cure Talent are thrilled to be working with a company who are driving to become a key player in medical and respiratory device manufacturing.
This company are currently looking for an experienced Product Design Engineer who is experienced in Injection Mould Tooling.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager on a day-to-day basis and working closely with a multi-functional team you will be involved with everything from customer specifications supporting major projects, 3D CAD, prototyping, bill of materials, and taking your product from a design/concept stage through to production.
Responsibilities:
* You will be involved in the development of our next generation of Medical Device or Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) products and the tasks required of you will include but not limited to the following:
* Generating concepts/ideas for new product design.
* Using computer aided design (CAD) to create new products for the business.
* Report writing, maintaining project records and project administration.
* Final verification and testing of products against test protocols and international regulations.
* Executing continuous improvement projects throughout the business.
* In addition, your specific role will be to focus on the effective design and development of the injection mould tooling required for our products, and you will be a subject matter expert in this field.
Required:
* A minimum of three years’ experience in the designing of new products using the CAD software Solidworks.
* You will have an in-depth knowledge of injection mould tooling and injection moulding in general.
* An engineering degree and relevant qualification.
* Experience of testing theories in practical experiments or simulations (plan, do, check act)
* Ability to write clear and concise reports and present information clearly to stakeholders
