An excellent opportunity has arisen for a SEND Team Lead within a Midlands-based Local Authority; to assist the SEND Team for an initial period of 5 months. You will be required to deal with highly complex cases.
This a fantastic opportunity for a SEN Team Lead to come into a busy team and use their attributes and skills to complete the work required.
Job Role
Oversee the allocation of workload to agreed service priorities; monitor case files, computerized records and deal with workload management issues as they arise, ensuring efficient and effective systems and performance to ensure workflow and case demands are met.
Lead a locality team of Case officers, ensuring performance and statutory responsibilities are met
Take a strategic lead role for a service area/s within the SEND service.
Provide advice and support to the service in relation to highly complex cases; respond to complaints from children, young people and their families, supporting staff in resolving matters and representing the Local Authority as required. 
Essential Skills and Abilities
Excellent knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
Experience working within SEN/D in a local authority setting
Experience in managing complex cases, problem-solving and solution-finding
Line management or supervisory experience
Experience dealing with Stage 1 & Stage 2 complaints and mediations
Hold a current enhanced DBS certificate
