Location: SEN School for Primary Age Children
Role Overview:
We are looking for an SEMH Support Worker to assist primary-aged children at a reputable SEN school. The school focuses on children at risk of permanent exclusion or those already excluded.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm
Requirements: Full, clean driver's license (involves travelling to other sites)
Key Responsibilities:
Train education professionals in the school to enhance their SEMH practices.
Help primary children develop self-regulation skills for better integration into the education system.
Refer and signpost education staff to other relevant services.
Maintain detailed records of interactions and activities for monitoring and evaluation.
Communicate concerns to line managers in accordance with safeguarding policies.
Adhere to all relevant policies, especially regarding Child Protection and Safeguarding.
Support the team to create a welcoming environment.
Contribute to the goals and targets.
Provide absence cover and perform additional duties as needed.Qualifications and Experience:
Ongoing professional development.
Experience in various educational settings, especially at the primary/early years level.
Proven ability to work with challenging young people who face learning barriers.If you fit this criteria and are passionate about supporting SEN students please send your CV today.
