We’re working with one of the UK’s largest and most respected insurance broking and MGA groups , looking for a Wording Specialist to join their Programs (MGA) division. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys the detail behind insurance documentation and policy wordings , and who wants to play a key role in shaping product quality, compliance, and consistency across multiple programs. The Opportunity You’ll be responsible for the drafting, review, and approval of all insurance documentation — ensuring it meets internal standards, market best practice, and regulatory requirements. Working closely with the Underwriting Performance Team , you’ll collaborate with underwriters, claims teams, and capacity providers to produce accurate, clear, and compliant wording for a range of insurance products. Key Responsibilities Draft, review, and approve policy wordings, certificates, IPIDs/summaries, proposal forms, and underwriting guidelines Oversee the design, production, and management of all insurance documentation across the MGA portfolio Provide expert advice to underwriters and claims teams on wording and coverage interpretation Ensure documents meet all regulatory, compliance, and legal standards Maintain a centralised document library and manage version control Develop policy wordings that are clear, consistent, and customer-focused Work with product development teams to support new and enhanced offerings Monitor market developments and regulatory changes to ensure documentation remains up to date Identify risks or ambiguities in policy language and recommend improvements About You Experience in insurance wording, documentation, or product development within an insurer, MGA, or brokerage Strong understanding of policy construction, coverage interpretation, and regulatory frameworks Detail-oriented, analytical, and confident working with complex technical information Collaborative approach with the ability to partner effectively with underwriters, compliance, and claims Excellent written communication and organisational skills Familiar with UK and EU insurance regulatory requirements (FCA, IDD, etc.) What’s On Offer Competitive salary and bonus structure Hybrid working (London / home-based) Comprehensive benefits package Opportunities to develop technical expertise and progress within a large, well-structured organisation Supportive environment that values accuracy, professionalism, and continuous improvement If you have experience drafting and managing insurance wordings and want to build your career within a market-leading MGA, we’d like to hear from you.
