A leading international law firm is looking for a Head of Risk (GenAI and Digital Legal Services) to join their team in London.


As Head of Risk (GenAI and Digital Legal Services) you will play a pivotal role in shaping and managing the firm's approach to digital legal delivery and the deployment of generative AI technologies. This role involves leading the risk management strategy for these innovative areas, ensuring the firm's compliance with regulatory standards while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.


Responsibilities of the Head of Risk (GenAI and Digital Legal Services)

  • Review and validate the company's risk tolerance concerning Generative AI (GenAI).
  • Establish and refine the firm's GenAI policy to align with the confirmed risk tolerance, and define the boundaries within which decisions related to GenAI should be made.
  • Create and apply a comprehensive risk management framework specifically designed for digital legal services and generative AI, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Manage the risk components associated with the firm's digital legal offerings, including AI-based document automation, AI-driven legal counsel, and other technology-enabled legal solutions.
  • Guide the creation and enforcement of policies and procedures governing the use of generative AI across the organization, ensuring responsible and effective application
  • Work closely with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, IT, legal departments, and external collaborators, to integrate the firm's digital and AI strategies with its overall risk management goals.
  • Keep up with new regulations and guidelines pertaining to digital legal services and AI, ensuring the firm stays compliant and leads in industry innovation.


Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in risk management, with a particular focus on digital transformation and AI within the legal sector or professional servicees
  • Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape surrounding digital legal services and AI technologies.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams, driving innovation while ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex risk concepts to a variety of stakeholders.
