Working with a large portfolio of public and private sector clients, our UK based organisation comprises of several divisions including Mechanical & Electrical, Construction, Projects, Reactive, FM, Small Works and other associated trades.
Position
As a Graduate/Trainee Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in supporting our commercial team on a range of exciting projects. You will be involved in all aspects of quantity surveying, from cost planning and estimation to contract administration and project management. You’ll work closely with experienced professionals who will mentor and guide you as you develop your skills and knowledge in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
·Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for projects.
·Supporting the preparation and management of tender documentation.
·Carrying out measurement and valuation of works on-site.
·Assisting with contract administration and cost control.
·Preparing reports on project costs, progress, and performance.
·Liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
·Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Requirements
·A recent graduate with a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field, or someone looking to start a career in Quantity Surveying.
·Strong numerical and analytical skills.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
·A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
·Willingness to learn and develop within the role.
·Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
·A driving license is desirable but not essential.
