Whitehall Garden Centre is a family run and award winning business. An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of an inspirational team as a Full Time Assistant Plant Manager at our Lacock Garden Centre.
The ideal candidate will ideally have a passion for customer service, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with good plant knowledge. Excellent communication skills and great motivation are essential to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Working 4 days between Monday to Friday and alternate weekends.
Assistant Plant Manager responsibilities;
- Sales opportunities are generated through interaction with customers and use of good plant knowledge.
- Ensuring all customers are greeted and offered assistance.
- Handling customer queries courteously and efficiently
- Identifying customers plant needs through interaction and taking appropriate action.
- Excellent standard of merchandising and housekeeping are established and maintained in accordance with company guidelines.
- Co-operates fully with the Centre Management Team and Directors
- All products are accurately priced and labelled in accordance with Company Policy
- Controls wastage, damage and returns ensuring credit notes are raised where applicable.
- Ensure personal compliance with Whitehalls H&S guideline.
- Maintains a harmonious and cooperative relationship with staff, managers and third parties.
- Ensures that stock is cared for appropriately.
- Provide assistance with regular stock take exercises as and when required.
- Carry out all reasonable duties as requested.
