Overview
Sales & BD Manager is a key figure in the commercial department, tasked with driving Sales and Business Development for the Territory of Europe. The role focuses on driving sales pipeline growth, developing and optimising project win strategies, and ensuring the achievement of regional sales targets. The role plays a crucial part in strategizing sales initiatives for the Company’s Pipeline Services Division, including coaching of team members and fostering a high-performance sales culture
Sales and BD Manager Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for identifying and creating new qualified sales opportunities within the Territory of EuropeAlign sales and business development efforts with the company’s sales goals and objectives.
Extensive collaboration with the Company’s global sales and marketing teams to ensure a cohesive approach to lead generation and nurturing, ultimately contributing to the company’s revenue growthPlan, develop and oversee the overall business development strategy for the territory
Contacting existing and potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetingsBuild strong relationships with industry professionals, competitors, vendors and other personnelPlanning and overseeing new marketing initiatives
Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunitiesIncreasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones
Finding and developing new markets and improving salesAttending conferences, meetings, and industry events
Supporting the Commercial Team during development of quotes and proposals for clients, particularly advising the Commercial Team on Project Win Strategies
Developing goals for the development team and business growth and ensuring they are metTraining personnel and helping team members develop their skills
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in in business, marketing, engineering or related field
* Proven experience in business development and sales in a technical or engineering-related industry
* Experience within pipe coating advantageous, but not essential
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite/ Knowledge of MS Project
* Experience of contract negotiation in a commercial environment
