Syntech are recruiting for a talented and experienced Calibration Technician to join a well established UKAS accredited business based in the Bristol area. The successful applicant will be involved with the calibration of various instrument types.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Calibration Scope Maintenance:
Be conversant with the technical procedures and data recording of calibration events and with guidance from the technical manager help maintain the laboratory's scope of accreditation.
Validation & Verification Maintenance:
Participate in the company's inter-laboratory schedule as guided by the technical manager. It is essential that the whole UKAS schedule is covered during a four-year period.
Participate as guided by the technical manager in the company's intra-laboratory schedule.
Participate as guided by the technical manager in the company's cross comparison schedule.
Participate as guided by the technical manager in the company's drift checking schedule.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: GCSE or equivalent
Experience: Ideally will have previous experience in a laboratory setting, preferably within an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory, however this is not crucial.
Skills:
Ideally have knowledge and basic understanding of the requirements ISO/IEC 17025 however this is not crucial as full training will be provided.
Excellent organisational and documentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
