An exciting position has become available for a full-time Planning & Purchasing Assistant based in Berkshire Wokingham.
Assembly Planning Assistant – The Role:
Working with the busy Assembly Department, directly reporting to the Assembly Manager supporting with daily tasks to enable the smooth running of the department including all administration of relating paperwork.
The successful candidate will be taught to understand the complete process from order entry to order despatch.
Tasks and responsibilities.
Carry out variety of required tasks in line with Company requirements including but not limited to:
• Understanding our MRP computer system.
• Dealing with Sales Orders
• Managing route cards including raising, issuing, and closing
• Prioritising teams workload to a high quality, ensure high levels of customer satisfaction with our products and services.
• Taking progress calls and responding to customer emails.
• Understanding courier despatch routines and assisting in the despatch of sales orders.
• Managing and understanding stock control
• Collating, packing and labelling finish product as required.
• Take ownership and responsibility for the area you are working in or task you are performing.
• Follow all Standard Operating procedures and help review when required.
• Ensure that you are aware of the Company Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures and that you adhere to them at all times.
• Maintain a positive working atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that promotes cooperation with colleagues.
• Supporting the team to ensure no production down time, that customers’ orders go out on time and that quality of the final products are of the highest quality.
• Strive for continual process improvement.
Assembly Planning Assistant – Skills/Qualifications:
• Attention to detail.
• Good communication, flexibility, and a team player.
• Ideally have worked in the manufacturing industry before but not essential as training will be provided.
• Experience with a hands-on role and not afraid of manual handling.
• Can-do attitude, self-motivated & keen to contribute to the success of the team.
• Ability to multitask in a busy working environment.
• Previous computer experience would be advantageous.
