Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a reputable school in Altrincham starting in September 2023. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students' learning journey and assisting the teaching staff in delivering high-quality education.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support to the classroom teacher in planning and implementing engaging lessons.
Assist in maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Work with individuals and small groups, providing guidance and reinforcement of concepts taught.
Monitor student progress, identify areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback.
Prepare and organise teaching materials, ensuring resources are readily available for classroom activities.
Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development and improvement of educational programs.
Uphold the school's policies and procedures, promoting positive behaviour and discipline among students.Requirements:
A science degree from a recognised university is essential for this position.
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is required, preferably in a secondary school setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and parents.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
