Base Maintenance Manager

The RolenWe have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Base Maintenance Manager to join our Base Maintenance Team. This role is based at our head office at Norwich Airport and is Monday – Friday.
Key ResponsibilitiesnSafety of team. Promote/introduce safety initiatives to reduce lost time injuries.nBuild strong working relationships with all Department Managers.nEstablish a professional and robust partnership with the Production Support Manager.nLeadership, development, and succession planning for Base Maintenance team.nCollaboration with Pro Support – Future planning/capacity.nLabour availability, competency, and efficiency for current and future timeframesnContinuous improvements in TAT and financial performance.nBuild strong working relationships with all main Customers and main interfaces.nCompliance with airworthiness standards and company procedures, partnering with the SMS Manager as the position is created.nTimely and effective closure of audit findings.nReview and acceptance of sales opportunities for Base Maintenance.nFinancial budgetary input and control. Forecasting and justifying/explaining variances.nTakes on responsibilities in relation to the sales to revenue process.
Knowledge, Skills, and BehavioursnProven operational management experience of multi-disciplined teams.nAcceptable to aviation regulatory authorities as a nominated person (Form 4 holder).nEASA Part 66 C license holder preferred.nExperienced and confident in a Base maintenance environment.nThorough knowledge of relevant aviation regulations (EASA Part 145 etc).nStrong financial and commercial acumen.nStrong leadership, team working and influencing skills.nSociable and approachable.nVery organised.nDemonstrates resilience and stays calm under pressure.nConsistently delivers to agreed timescales.nSupports others to achieve their objectives.nEffectively delegates responsibility but always maintains accountability.nQuickly assimilates information from multiple sources and makes considered robust decisions.nCommunicates effectively to different audiences.nPromotes company values.nUses knowledge and experience positively for organisational gain.nUnderstanding of the sales process and revenue.nLifelong learner.
