The Role

We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Base Maintenance Manager to join our Base Maintenance Team. This role is based at our head office at Norwich Airport and is Monday – Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety of team. Promote/introduce safety initiatives to reduce lost time injuries.
  • Build strong working relationships with all Department Managers.
  • Establish a professional and robust partnership with the Production Support Manager.
  • Leadership, development, and succession planning for Base Maintenance team.
  • Collaboration with Pro Support – Future planning/capacity.
  • Labour availability, competency, and efficiency for current and future timeframes
  • Continuous improvements in TAT and financial performance.
  • Build strong working relationships with all main Customers and main interfaces.
  • Compliance with airworthiness standards and company procedures, partnering with the SMS Manager as the position is created.
  • Timely and effective closure of audit findings.
  • Review and acceptance of sales opportunities for Base Maintenance.
  • Financial budgetary input and control. Forecasting and justifying/explaining variances.
  • Takes on responsibilities in relation to the sales to revenue process.

Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours

  • Proven operational management experience of multi-disciplined teams.
  • Acceptable to aviation regulatory authorities as a nominated person (Form 4 holder).
  • EASA Part 66 C license holder preferred.
  • Experienced and confident in a Base maintenance environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant aviation regulations (EASA Part 145 etc).
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen.
  • Strong leadership, team working and influencing skills.
  • Sociable and approachable.
  • Very organised.
  • Demonstrates resilience and stays calm under pressure.
  • Consistently delivers to agreed timescales.
  • Supports others to achieve their objectives.
  • Effectively delegates responsibility but always maintains accountability.
