The Business Assurance Division, established as a standalone division in 2020, provides system focused certification, audit and assurance services and training across a wide range of industries both domestically within the UK and internationally.
Working within a team of billing systems specialists, you will contribute to the provision of a comprehensive assessment of metering and billing systems, assessing communication service provider’s payment systems. This includers assessing end to end activities and ensuring they meet the requirements of both regulatory (including the Ofcom Metering and Billing direction) and non-regulatory standards (including Terminal Quality Management systems)
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Project manage and conduct on-site and remote technical audits for third parties and communication service providers to a variety of regulatory and non-regulatory standards.
* Present findings to Senior Management clearly explaining the requirements and timescales.
* Document audit results and observations, and update supporting documentation.
* Track and close findings with client representatives and Senior Management
* Liaise with the Certification Services Team to deliver client certificates in a timely manner.
* Attend industry technical and “watchdog” committee meetings, as required.
* Conduct technical audits for newly developed schemes.
Essential Criteria – the successful candidate will be/have and be able to demonstrate:
* Experience in performing 2nd party and / or 3rd party audits.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience working within electronics design and/or telecommunication sectors.
* Strong ability to form mutually beneficial, collaborative relationships with Clients and colleagues.
* Strong understanding of the importance of and application of impartiality, confidentiality and ethical requirements.
* A curious and open-minded mindset combined with strong listening skills.
* Strong problem solving and conflict resolution capabilities.
* Ability to interpret complex regulations: candidate must be able to translate technical and regulatory requirements into practical, actionable audit findings and recommendations.
* Strong data analysis capabilities: candidate should have the ability to analyse large volumes of technical data to detect compliance issues or anomalies.
* Accurate, clear and timely communication skills (verbal and written) with adherence to deadlines.
* Ability to plan and organise multiple projects, in parallel, while giving attention to details and completion.
* Ability to work both individually and collaborate as a member of a team.
* Be self-motivated, a self-starter and committed to self-improvement.
* Computer Literate, with the ability to utilise Microsoft Office packages and bespoke software as required as well as a willingness to learn and adopt modern technology types.
* A desire to learn new competencies and gain appointments in certification and regulatory schemes outside of metering and billing.
* Willingness and flexibility to travel and visit TÜV SÜD offices and client’s facilities globally.
* A full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Criteria – it would be beneficial if the successful candidate had:
* Lead auditor qualifications in some or all of the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 27001 standards.
