JOB SUMMARY:
The International Sales Manager at GLO MARINE will play a pivotal role in advancing the company's focus on the retrofit market and enhancing partnerships with vessel owners and vessel managers. The primary responsibility is to drive sales growth for GLO MARINE retrofit & conversions services and products within the maritime and offshore energy sectors globally. The incumbent will be tasked with developing and implementing sales strategies for said markets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Sales Strategy & Implementation
- Develop and implement sales strategies with a specific focus on the retrofit market and the needs of vessel managers to increase revenue and market share in the maritime and offshore energy sectors.
- Set sales goals according to the company's overall sales objectives.
- Independently generate leads, convert them through the sales funnel, and expand the customer base with a targeted approach to the retrofit market.
- Research and understand different types of customers in the targeted markets, tailoring sales strategies to meet their specific needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, engineering, and project management, ensuring alignment on sales goals and customer requirements.
- Represent GLO MARINE at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, showcasing the company's expertise in the retrofit market and vessel management.
B. Market analysis & research
- Monitor market trends, competition, and customer needs to stay ahead of market changes and adapt sales strategies accordingly
- analysing the success of sales and marketing campaigns and creating reports
Qualification & Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or related field, preferably within the maritime or offshore energy sectors.
- Proven track record of success in the sales process for B2B company.
- Strong understanding of technical sales and the maritime industry, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to customers.
- Experience setting sales strategy and sales goals for a team.
- Experience expanding the customer base by generating leads and converting them through the sales funnel.
- Excellent research, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
