About the company and role

This is a highly successful and respected law firm which operates out of multiple offices in the Thames Valley region.

Due to expansion, they are looking for an individual that would feel at home in a busy department based at the Witney office that is friendly, welcoming and warm.

You would be working with a diverse set of hardware and software technologies, providing support to users and delivering hardware and software projects that will benefit the firm.

This is a unique IT role that offers the successful candidate the opportunity to shine and progress their career in the firm.


Requirements:

The right candidate will probably have been employed in a vocation that requires a logical and methodical way of thinking to achieve goals and/or design solutions. This could have previously been in a software and/or hardware environment. Reporting to the Head of IT, some of the responsibilities of the position include (either immediately or in time (with training) depending on the successful candidate’s previous experience):

  1. Telephone, hands-on and remote support of the entire IT Infrastructure.
  2. Monitoring and management of systems and processes used to protect the IT Infrastructure.
  3. IT project development, management and delivery.
  4. Document process maps, project plans and both technical and user documentation.
  5. Any other duties to assist the Head of IT.
  6. Ad-Hoc local travel between the other offices’ as and when required.


This is an ideal role for someone who has at least 5 years technical experience and is looking for the next step in an organisation where they can make a real difference and have a great deal of exposure to a wide range of technologies. Ideally the right candidate will have some of the following skills:

  1. Desktop and Server Hardware
  2. Hyper-V / VMware
  3. Windows 10/11
  4. MS Active Directory, MS Server 2022
  5. MS365, MS Exchange, MS Office and SQL Server


About the benefits and ways of working

This will be an on-site position, 9-5:30 office hours, no weekends or overtime.

25 days of holiday + bank holiday + few days between Christmas and New Year.
