Job Summary:nThis role is a great opportunity for a creative and inquisitive packaging technologist to be part of Pai's growth story, with responsibility for new packaging development from concept to launch.
The remit includes redevelopment of existing packaging to improve sustainability and product/supplier performance. The right candidate would become a core part of the NPD & R&D team and support in project management, testing and sampling new innovations to bring products to market.
Key Responsibilities:nNew Packaging Development - Develop and ensure compliance with Pai’s brand requirements for primary, secondary and transit packagingnExisting Packaging Development - Improve product and supplier performance, customer experience and Pai’s environmental credentialsnAssist with compatibility testing, weight loss, evacuation testing and performance Testing alongside the R&D teamnActively seek innovation in the packaging market, via supplier meetings and trade showsnActively support the wider NPD process working closely with R&D, Marketing and Sales to support the project management process.nSupport and implement sustainability projects across the business. For example our commitment to 100% circularity by 2030.nSupport QA and Production with new and existing packaging development via trials and first productionsnBe a key contributor to one-off or seasonal projects including gifting & samplingnSupport the management of artworks and the internal approval process.nCoordinate and manage packaging artworks with other duties facilitating launch of NPD and EPD productsnFile artworks, cutter guides and relevant packaging information in the correct format and relevant foldersnSupport the Senior NPD Product Manager on Marketing, Commercial and PR team requirements for innovation sampling.
Key Skills:nPassionate about packaging & sustainability.n2+ years experience within Skincare or Cosmetics packaging development with technical knowledge and a keen eye for detailnUnderstanding of NPD project management and critical path analysisnHighly organised, proactive and enjoy working on multiple projects at the same timenBe self-driven, results-oriented and have excellent communication skillsnProven previous experience & knowledge in printing technology and packaging materials within skincare or cosmeticsnTeam player with positive, can-do attitude
