Profile
Our client, based on the outskirts of Leeds, is a market leader in the Hospitality Industry.  They manufacturer and fit out Hotels with bespoke furniture & soft furnishings for clients such as Hilton, Marriott, Sheraton, Holiday Inn & Crowne Plaza. They are now on the lookout for a Furniture Estimator to join the team.
Job Purpose
The successful Estimator will be responsible for estimating a range of products & services within the company.
Responsibilities but not limited to:-
Evaluate incoming enquiries to ensure they are in line with company capabilities
Identify and offer value engineer solutions to align with client’s budget and expectations.
Conduct handover meeting with project managers to ensure project is delivered in accordance with the tendered concept and to budget.
Provide support to designers and project managers during the manufacturing and installation period of all orders.
Accurate assessments of the materials and labour required to construct furniture.
Understanding and interpreting client’s drawings and tender documents.
Revise quotations in response to any design alterations from the client or end-user
Confident approach to question design intent to enable best manufacturing methods.
Continuous interaction with our manufacturing and design teams to advance estimating skills and knowledge.
Essential Skills & qualifications
Over 5 years’ experience within joinery/ furniture sector
Ability to organise & prioritise tasks
Appreciation of the need to get the job done on time and to the correct standard
Ability to solve problems by acting on own initiative
Actively develops strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues
IT Literate- particularly Excel
Good communicator, able to communicate at all levels
Willingness to learn
Attention to detail
Flexible approach and can-do attitude.
