International Payroll Assistant

We are excited to invite applications for the position of International Payroll Assistant to join a global payroll team based in London.
The ideal candidate for this International Payroll Assistant position should be detail-oriented, process-focused and eager to advance their career in international payrolls, offering opportunities to assist in various payroll processes, ensure compliance with local tax laws, and support the payroll accounting function.
Responsibilities
Focus primarily on managing international payrolls, learning the specific requirements of each entity.
Collaborate with relevant HR and internal teams to process monthly updates, verify data, and prepare information for payroll providers.
Check payroll data before it is authorised and respond to payroll authorisation queries.
Handle employee enquiries related to salary, benefits, taxation, or social security.
Administer net pay directly or via the payroll system.
Assist with administering, reporting, and resolving queries related to monthly and annual local payroll tax obligations.
Help reconcile trial balance accounts and manage employee benefits.
Support compliance with legislative changes in various jurisdictions.
Assist with onboarding new payrolls, setup or migrations, and parallel and test running.
Provide support during external audit processes.
Assist the London payroll processing function during peak periods.
Skills and Experience
Prior experience in international payroll is essential.
Understanding of Shadow Payrolls is beneficial.
Friendly manner and customer-focused attitude.
Willingness to Learn: Proactive in taking on new payroll location challenges.
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
Strong skills in managing time, with a flexible approach to workload and deadlines.
Reconciliation Skills: Desirable but not essential.
