A leading private equity investor has recently partnered with a multi-site business to execute a buy and build strategy. They are looking to take the business from 5 sites and £1 million EBIDTA to 40 + sites and £10 million EBITDA.

They are seeking an experienced Finance Director to spearhead financial operations and drive strategic growth initiatives. As the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in executing their expansion plans, managing financial resources effectively, and ensuring sound financial governance across multiple sites.

Key responsibilitiesnDevelop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives.nLead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes to support the buy and build strategy.nOversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with regulatory standards.nAssess and mitigate financial risks, identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies.nCollaborate closely with executive leadership and private equity stakeholders to drive informed decision-making.nManage cash flow, capital allocation, and investment strategies to optimize returns.nProvide strategic financial guidance for acquisitions, integrations, and divestitures.nLead M&A activities, including target identification, due diligence, valuation, and negotiation.nConduct thorough due diligence assessments to evaluate potential acquisitions and strategic partnerships.nDrive post-acquisition integration efforts to maximize synergies and streamline operations.nBuild and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement,

Key requirementsnQualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)nProven track record as a Finance Director or similar leadership role in a multi-site environment.nExperience in private equity-backed businesses, executing buy and build strategies preferred.nStrong financial acumen with the ability to interpret complex financial data and formulate actionable insights.nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.nStrategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.nProficiency in financial modelling, analysis, and ERP systems.
