This company is seeking a proactive and experienced Extra Care Scheme Coordinator to manage a high-quality extra care service in Cumbria. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the service provided meets the needs and preferences of service users and their families. Key responsibilities include:
Providing individualised, person-centred support to service users.
Ensuring the safety and well-being of residents through regular health and safety activities.
Managing and supporting a team to deliver high standards of care.
Liaising with stakeholders, including social workers, care managers, and voluntary agencies.
Overseeing the completion of building inspections, reporting repairs, and managing contractors.Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain trusting relationships with service users.
Support service users in making informed choices and decisions.
Promote the rights and entitlements of people with learning disabilities and ensure their participation in the community.
Manage staff performance, development, and training to maintain excellent care standards.
Implement and monitor detailed management guidelines and support plans.
Ensure effective communication and joint working with partner agencies.Essential Requirements:
At least two years of experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
Experience in staff supervision and management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
Knowledge of strategies and interventions for working with people with learning disabilities.
