Job Description: Contract Senior Buyer
Location: Lancashire
We are looking for a Contract Senior Buyer with skills in Supplier Management and Purchase Order Schedules to manage our purchasing activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the company's purchasing activities are effectively managed and cost-effective.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement supplier management strategies to ensure that the company has a reliable supply chain
- Manage the purchase order process to ensure timely delivery of goods and services - Work closely with suppliers to ensure that schedules are met
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure that they meet contractual obligations
- Identify cost savings opportunities and implement cost reduction initiatives
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Buyer with expertise in Supplier Management and Purchase Order Schedules
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field
