The Client
Our client is one of the UK’s largest engineering surveyors specialising in land, measured building and underground utility surveys as well as monitoring and site engineering schemes. They have a network of eleven offices across the UK, Working on some of the UK’s major construction and infrastructure developments.
The Role
As a Utility Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in completing a diverse range of utility surveys independently, utilizing state-of-the-art technology. You will process data in the office to meet high standards, collaborate on multi-disciplined survey projects, and contribute your expertise to the development of less experienced team members.
Experience
· Survey Execution: Independently conduct a variety of utility and CCTV surveys, ensuring high standards across projects of varying complexity.
· Project Collaboration : Work on large, complex projects with team members of different technical abilities, ensuring project goals and high-quality outputs are consistently met.
· Team Guidance: Provide direction and guidance to team members, supporting their development through practical onsite and office-based experience.
· Project Management : Ensure the smooth running of projects with minimal supervision, maintaining high performance and quality standards.
· Equipment Maintenance: Maintain survey instruments to ensure they are in excellent working condition and fit for purpose.
· Site Inspections : Undertake initial site inspections and complete dynamic risk assessments, reporting any safety issues promptly.

Requirements
· Experience: 2-3+ years in the utilities surveying industry with experience in small to large-scale utility and CCTV surveys.
· Technical Skills : Proficient in traversing and GPS control networks, using GPS and Total Station equipment, and processing survey data and CAD to high standards.
· Communication : Excellent communication skills and a professional, approachable manner.
· Health & Safety: Strong understanding of health and safety importance within the civil engineering industry.
· Qualifications: QCF Level 3 in utility mapping
· Full UK driving licence .
· Location: Ability to commute to the Thames Valley office.
· Eligibility : Right to work in the UK
