Mechanical Supervisor required mid-July for 40 weeks.
Site is situated in East Sussex
Day rate - DOE
My client is seeking a skilled mechanical supervisor to join them on a 40-week contract starting mid-July.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on large-scale fit out, refurbs and installations.
The ideal candidate will have commercial, healthcare, and retail experience and be used to working to demanding deadlines.
You will oversee and manage the mechanical aspects of a large-scale hospital project. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in mechanical supervision within the construction industry, specifically in large-scale healthcare projects. Proficiency with Field View is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Management: Supervise and coordinate all mechanical construction activities to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
* Technical Supervision: Provide technical oversight and direction to mechanical contractors and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project specifications and regulatory requirements.
* Field View Management: Utilize Field View for daily reporting, quality control, and documentation of all mechanical construction activities.
* Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with mechanical codes, standards, and project specifications. Address any non-compliance issues promptly.
* Team Coordination: Work closely with the project management team, other supervisors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of mechanical works with other construction activities.
* Health and Safety: Ensure all mechanical work is performed safely and in accordance with company and industry health and safety regulations.
* Problem Solving: Identify and resolve mechanical issues and challenges that arise during the construction process.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all mechanical works, including progress reports, inspection records, and as-built documentation.
* Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for mechanical-related inquiries and concerns from clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
* Education: Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Supervisor in large-scale construction projects, preferably in healthcare.
* Field View: Proven experience with Field View for construction management and reporting.
Skills:
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and construction techniques.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
