I am looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to work in the Southern Water area. The perfect applicant will have knowledge and experience working on projects within wastewater or water treatment.

Role: Mechanical Supervisor

Location: Southern Water Patch- 3x roles available on 3 different sites

Contract: Freelance

Rate: £380-£400 per day

When: ASAP

Duties will include:

Ensuring that all relevant health and safety documents are correctly recorded
Checking that all relevant documents adequately describe the work to be carried out
Supervising work to ensure that it is carried out in accordance with method statements and work Instructions from the project manager
Recording the progress of works on record drawings or other suitable means when required
Recognising the health and safety considerations are central to all tasks and contribute to ensure safe working environments for all
Actively supporting the Site Manager to maintain and enforce safety standards as required by statute and in accordance with Safety Policies
Recording all non-conformance and improvement opportunities and agree action with the person in charge of the works
Understanding of technical MEICA works
Control panels and control systems experience
Supervising the installation of process packages and field pipework in an water process environment

Skills Required:

Experience working within the Water industry is essential
CITB (SMSTS), SSSTS, and/or CSCS qualified for managing safely
First Aid 3 day course
Valid Full UK Driving LIcence
Safe delivery of water projects to time, cost, and quality
Read mechanical drawings and interpret electrical schematics and P&ID's
Experience of supervising the installation of process packages and field pipework in an water process environment

Skills Desirable:

Ambitious and dynamic personality
Thames water passport
MEICA/Civil works multi-disciplined interfacing
Strong leadership and a commitment for delivering excellence
Positive, "can do" approach who can work effectively as part of a team
