As an experienced SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for these students. Your expertise and commitment will contribute to their academic, social, and emotional development, helping them thrive in their educational journey.
Responsibilities of an SEN Teacher in this role include:
Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the specific needs and abilities of ASD/SLD children at Key Stage 3.
Creating and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that address the unique learning requirements of each student, focusing on their academic progress and personal growth.
Employing effective behaviour management strategies to support students with additional needs and ensure a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Collaborating with the school's leadership team, SENCo, and other professionals to develop and implement appropriate interventions and support strategies.
Monitoring and assessing student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching approaches to meet individual learning styles.
Working closely with teaching assistants and support staff to provide targeted support and ensure the well-being of all students.
Promoting a culture of respect, diversity, and inclusivity within the school community.
Keeping abreast of the latest developments in special education and incorporating evidence-based practices into teaching methodologies.This full-time role offers working hours between 8.30am and 3.45pm, Monday to Friday.
