Position Overview

In this role, you will collaborate with a well-established charitable organization that offers excellent career advancement opportunities while providing essential assistance to those with learning challenges.

Key Responsibilities

You will engage closely with local authorities and educational institutions to implement a tailored support program for young individuals requiring SEN assistance. Your primary focus will be to:

  • Assist young people in mapping out their career paths to foster independence.
  • Accompany them to their workplaces, collaborating with employers to offer necessary support.
  • Guide them in securing paid employment through CV development, job applications, and interview coaching.
  • Conduct end-of-day check-ins with both the young person and their employer to monitor progress.
  • Work in tandem with educators to identify any additional support needs.
  • Establish strong relationships with employers to create internship opportunities.

You will have the opportunity to support a group of young individuals, making a significant impact on their lives.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate may be a recent graduate in a relevant field such as psychology or possess prior experience working with youth who have support needs. Suitable backgrounds may include roles such as tutor, teacher, learning support assistant, or teaching assistant. Experience as a support worker, hostel worker, career advisor, or employment advisor is also valuable.

This is a full-time position with a fixed-term contract. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
