Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Director, you will:
Assess and occasionally introduce new business opportunities, including exploring new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services.
Creating and submitting Grid Applications.
Support project development, design, permitting, and planning activities from initial concept to full planning application approval and Ready to Build status.
Build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with the operations team, project delivery team, consultants, technology providers, and regulatory bodies.
Engage with customers and clients through face-to-face meetings or phone calls.
Cultivate and strengthen relationships with customers, clients, and project teams.
Strategically envision the broader picture, setting aims and objectives to grow and improve the business and identify new opportunities.
Execute strategic planning to implement necessary operational changes.
Acquire a thorough understanding of the business's products or services to provide informed advice to others.
Collaborate with the team on promotional strategies and activities.
Coordinate with the finance team.
Coordinate with the operations team.
Research and attend seminars, conferences, and events to expand the business's network and profile.
Stay updated on industry trends and changes.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Demonstrable experience in project management and / or design and development of anaerobic digestion or biogas plants, or other renewable energy plant
A higher education qualification or degree in engineering, farming, energy, renewable energy or similar field of study would be advantageous but not essential.
A full UK Driving Licence
Personal skills
The Project Development Manager role would suit someone who is or has:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
An understanding of UK planning procedures would be advantageous.
An understanding of UK Green Gas Support Scheme would also be advantageous.
A determined and creative personality that is able to react to industry changes.
Excellent attention to detail and dedication to accurate information.
A willingness to travel across the UK and abroad when required.
Salary and benefits of the Development Project Manager role
A starting salary up to £50,000 depending on experience
