Job Title: Technical Services Manager
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Services Manager with a contracting background, preferably with extensive design and build experience in building services. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of various building services such as lifts, voice & data, sprinklers, AV, security, mechanical, and electrical services. The role requires adeptness in managing the interaction between services and other associated disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
Tender Preparation and Presentation:
Attend tender walk-arounds and gather relevant information.
Compile tender documentation and pricing.
Assist in preparing and presenting proposals and costs to the client's team.
Project Management:
Manage the stage-by-stage signoff process of information, drawings, and design.
Maintain a weekly meeting schedule and record of progress until final signoff, ensuring works commencement on site.
Coordination of Building Services Activities:
Undertake the coordination of all building services activities.
Ensure spatial awareness and logistical programming in conjunction with building activities.
Utilize CAD software, including 3D, for effective coordination.Qualifications and Skills:
Contracting Background: Proven experience in contracting, ideally with significant design and build exposure.
Comprehensive Understanding: Strong knowledge of various building services including lifts, voice & data, sprinklers, AV, security, mechanical, and electrical services.
Interdisciplinary Interaction: Ability to appreciate and manage the interaction between building services and other associated disciplines.
Tender Management: Experience in tender preparation, documentation, pricing, and presentation.
Project Management Skills: Proficiency in managing project signoff processes, progress tracking, and coordination.
Spatial Awareness: Ability to coordinate building services activities considering spatial constraints.
Programming and Logistical Skills: Experience in programming and logistical planning for building services activities.
CAD Proficiency: Familiarity with CAD software, including 3D, is advantageous.Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Proven track record in technical services management within the construction industry.
Relevant certifications and training in building services management are desirable
