About the role: 
Cadent Gas Ltd have an exciting opportunity for a Small Works Specialist to join their property department. 
As a Small Works Specialist You will lead activities relating to small works within the Cadent property portfolio currently valued at in excess of £100m and support the regions with projects through to completion. This will include initial set up and the production of all property procedures, processes and documentation for small works, project management and ownership of the property central share point. 
In addition to the above you will also manage internal and external communications and negotiations for these developments and manage the delivery through a large and diverse mix of supporting consultant appointments across a range of disciplines.
What you'll get to work on:
Proactive identification, management of all Project related risks ensuring action plans are in place, shared and executed. 
Developing a project management system to capture all relevant documentation and drive appropriate reporting on active projects.
Supporting the BAU / FM Team with Small Works requirements and Small Projects
Working Collaboratively with the Property Contracts Manager to ensure the Property department and FM teams have Suppliers and contracts in place for all required works and projects.
Identifying and formulate a plan for the project and create the supporting business cases for projects supporting the business operations and/or realising added shareholder value.
Securing business approval for projects and provide regular updates of progress and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and in accordance with specified standards.
Acting as conduit to development manager or project lead for communications and decision making and creating individual project plans while ensuring the project is delivered on time and on budget by establishing benchmarks.
Engaging and manage appropriate property professionals to support projects both internal and external and ensuring that all necessary project communications are delivered on time and all pre, prior and during communications and correspondance is maintained and shared. and all projects and small works relevant documentation is correct and regularly updated on the Property Share Point
Managing and Maintaining all Property Project Procedures, Processes and Documentation
Monitoring project progress and implement strategies to accomplish approved outcomes and monitoring and reporting on all project costs and business opex / capex implications.and designing and implementing any appropriate move or temporary location plans to facilitate project delivery and/or occupation. Prince2 Practioner (Desirable)  
Practical Experience
Project management experience
Budget management experience
