Role Responsibilities:nAssist with the management of the Service Desk and Change Management Systems (ManageEngine)nMaintain, monitor, and support the bank’s network, applications and infrastructure.nCarry out regular system health checks, vulnerability assessment and patching.nIntegrate solutions with other applications and platforms based on business requirements.nPerform routine maintenance tasks for infrastructure systems such as backups, patch management and hot fixes.nPerform capacity workload modelling and availability analysis for a variety of platforms and environments.nDevelop, maintain, recommend, document and support tools and utilities to provide capacity planning and management.nTroubleshoot problems by analyzing root causes and evaluating multiple options.nEvaluate future technologies and make recommendations for software and hardware upgrades.nAnalyze and implement network, software and hardware changes.nDevelop processes to ensure appropriate WAN, LAN, device privileges and access are granted, ensuring data integrity and security are achieved.nEnsure all necessary network security updates, patches, and preventive measures are implemented.nSupport the day-to-day operations of the banks IT systems, network, and applications.nMaintain Windows server and Unix based servers, O365 and administer MS Azure.nImplement and maintain information security controls in line with ISO27001, NIST and DORA standards.nSupport the Bank’s VMware and Citrix virtual infrastructure.nMaintain the bank’s Business Continuity and Disaster recovery plan and procedure.nLead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
Skills and Knowledge Required:nA minimum of 5 years Infrastructure, System, Network support experiencenRelevant certification such as, CCNA, CCNP, MCITP, VCP, or CCA, etcnBanking/Financial sector experience is an advantagenVery good VMware and Citrix administration experiencenWindows and Linux Servers administration and support skillsnExperience with scripting and automation toolsnExperience in Public Cloud deployment and administrationnExperience in the following Applications – Flexcube, T24, Oracle, Datastore, SWIFT, Calypso, etcnStrong knowledge of systems and networking, software, hardware, and networking protocolnStrong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including experience of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocolsnISO27001 experience is an advantagenVery good virtualisation, Active Directory, GPO, Access control and LAN/WAN experiencenAnalytical thinker and problem solver with excellent organising, prioritising, and multitasking skillsnExcellent troubleshooting, problem-solving and task management skillsnAble to work with little or no supervision.
This is a permanent position paying up to £75,000.
