Hirexo Talent Partners have been retained by one of the leading Private Equity firms as they look to accelerate their portfolio growth. They are looking for a Private Equity Analyst to join the business and support them on the Due Diligence and financial analysis of businesses within their acquisition remit. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Private Equity Analyst to join a rapidly growing Private Equity firm. This role is remote but with expected travel across the UK when required.
 
About Our Client:
 
Hirexo Talent Partner have been working with this client to support the growth of their portfolio companies, and this time the opportunity has arisen to support them directly. This Private Equity firm have a combined total portfolio revenue exceeding £600m, and have turned their last 3 acquisitions around within the first financial year, showing their immense strategy and direction when turning businesses around. They have offices in London and in Leeds, but this role will sit remotely, with travel expected where required across the UK.
 
What the Private Equity Analyst will do:
Provide comprehensive support on Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A).
Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including analysing financial statements and management accounts.
Identify and assess potential risks and opportunities, coordinating with third-party advisers (legal, accounting, industry experts).
Develop detailed financial models and perform valuation analyses using various methodologies (DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions).
Analyse historical financial performance and forecast future financial performance to support investment decisions.
Prepare investment memorandums and presentations summarising findings and recommendations.
Conduct industry and market research to understand competitive landscape, market trends, and regulatory environment.
Evaluate market size, growth potential, and competitive positioning of potential investments.
Assist in structuring and negotiating investment terms and conditions.
Monitor and report on the performance of portfolio companies.
Support senior team members in various ad-hoc projects and tasks related to investment activities.  
The Private Equity Analyst will have the following:
3-5 years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, corporate finance, or management consulting, with demonstrated expertise in financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence.
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, or a related field; a Master's degree or MBA is preferred. Professional certifications such as CFA or ACA are advantageous.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modelling, valuation techniques, and advanced use of Microsoft Excel and financial analysis software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of preparing detailed investment memorandums and presentations.
In-depth understanding of financial statements, corporate finance, investment principles, and the ability to conduct comprehensive market and industry research.
Strong problem-solving skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to identify issues and propose solutions, with a solid understanding of market dynamics.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues, clients, and third-party advisers, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
Exceptional time management skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High level of attention to detail, professionalism, ethics, and integrity in all dealings.
Proactive attitude with a collaborative mindset, eager to learn and contribute effectively in a team setting.  
The package on offer for the Private Equity Analyst includes:
A salary of £45,000 to £70,000
Opportunity to head up portfolio projects
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
Opportunity to travel the UK and even overseas for business
Remote working majority of the time with period meetings with other Private Equity members
